a/n: Imma try and do more of the HA! things you all requested. Like I said, it's unlikely that I'll do them all, but there's a few on the list that sound like excellent plans.

I wish I could draw boys better. I'm getting more and more out of practice. There was awhile where I was beginning to feel more comfortable drawing them (when I drew SHWC stuff all the time), but now I've sort of fallen back into almost always drawing girls.

ETA: Almost forgot that I totally wanted to pimp a fic! Beg the Universe by cecilegrey!!! It's spooky and perfect for Halloween. Also, there's a few mega-awesome twists in it that made me go: "FUCK YES." So like... read it!

a/n: It's image heavy, but OMG MY OTP/3s!!!!!!! It was fun to go back and revisit all of my old fandoms and really pick out, which ships have meant the most to me. Also, I took the fanart without permission, but everything is credited and clicking each picture takes you to the owner's DA account. Anything that doesn't have text saying who made it underneath is either a) a screenshot from the actual game/show/etc or b) made by me.

Also, I tried to do pairings from various fandoms. I managed except for the two KH ones, but you could say that Squall/Yuffie is actually a Final Fantasy Crossover...kind of. In any case, I've been influenced by both (Squffie moreso than RiSoKai) and it didn't feel right excluding one or the other. :\

Hey Arnold!

Searching the Hills for Sex and Gold, by CecileGrey - (AU, Helga/Arnold) A lot of the stories for the recent Fanmix were good, but this is definitely my favorite. It’s just completely different from any Helga/Arnold story I’ve ever read. It’s long, but it goes by quick! The best is just trying to piece together all the missing parts.

Connection, by cybra2003 - (TJM, Arnold) TJM fic makes my heart happy. Also, I love the little connections presented in this fic and the characterization is really awesome.

This Boy, by PoisonIvory - I’ve always loved this fic. I think because I’ve never really read anything like it before and I love how she puts us in this role as an outsider. I mean, we are already outside the Helga/Arnold relationship, but now it’s even more defined. I also love how it could be about anyone at all, but there’s just little things that tie it back to HA!


Kingdom Hearts

Wait a Bit, by xxpoisonivyxx - (Squall/Yuffie) For the longest time I couldn’t find this one again. I’m so glad it finally resurfaced, because I think it’s gorgeous. I find that things written with a focus on Yuffie or from Yuffie’s perspective are usually some of the best pieces I’ve ever read. It’s because she has this way of being both incredibly immature and also poetic. Or, at least, that’s how I like to see her written.

There Wasn’t, by Tabitha Dornoc - (Axel, Sora, Roxas) I don’t know why I like this one so much. I think it mostly has to do with my fondness for Axel/Sora interaction and how even to the end when Sora was nothing but a monster he was probably still the greatest person ever. And the line at the end just…gets me.

But That was in Another Country, Guardian1 - (Yuffie-centric) Another one of those where you need to have a general knowledge of FF7. I love this one to bits and pieces and it’s ridiculously pretty and sad and it basically made me love Tifa. I’ve always been kind of lukewarm towards Tifa, but this just sells her to me. Also Tifa/Barret is my OTP.


Naruto

Nine Months, by DriveMyHeart - (Sasuke/Sakura) I have this thing for fics that are heartbreakingly sad. Sakura’s devotion and love even to this point is just… almost too much. And yet, I understand her. I get this and if Naruto ever came to this point I can see it happening. Though, I doubt things are going to turn out like this.

Hey Arnold!

Missing Pieces, by Poison Ivory - This is probably my absolute favorite Hey Arnold! fanfic and one of my first. It has action, adventure, love, drama, and Curly. To this day I still adore it to itty bitty pieces. Helga is just the COOLEST in this story.

Hot Air, by Pyrus Japonica - Another amazing Hey Arnold! story. This is probably the only fic where I've been able to stand and appreciate HelgaxGerald. I haven't read it in awhile, but it is a great epic and only the beginning of a larger adventure that begins in the unfinished sequal: Ice Water.


Kingdom Hearts

Other Halves, by Vulpes Lapis - Funniest/Cutest collection of Kingdom Hearts 1 tales that I know of. There is one OC, but she fits in with the rest and is probably one of the few that I can actually stand. Adult humor and situations abound. Squffie, SoKai, Clerith and ZephyrxRiku.

The Lion in the Meadow, by Guardian1 - A one-shot Squffie fic that gives that whole punch-in-the-stomach sorta feeling by the end of it. It brings in a lot of the Final Fantasy elements and pasts, but wraps them together in good ways.

Minor Side Effects Include, by Karasu Kurokiba - A Cid-centric one-shot that connects back to the days before the Heartless. It is a lot like The Lion in the Meadow since both seem to be of the belief that the Final Fantasy characters in KH kept their original pasts with little twists. So a half-decent knowledge of FF7 is in order to truly appreciate this fic. It is very good either way though.

Stalemates, by Endling - One-shot. A wonderfully insightful piece into the lives of three nobodies - Axel, Demyx and Roxas. Utterly tragic when you read how hopeful Axel seems to be. endling is one of those really amazing authors that just keeps getting better.


Naruto

Colours, by Muffytaj - Wonderful. Tragic. Sasuke.

Three Weeks, She Sleeps, by Annwyd - I love this story for reasons I can't really explain. Possibly because of all the connections entwined throughout, possibly not. In any case this is a wonderful One-shot. Its Sasusaku and maybe narusaku and at least narusasu in some sexual way.

How to Save a Life, by White Knuckles - smut. NaruSasuSaku. Saddest threesome ever. They are all so wonderfully in character and mmmph.. its just so tragic, but good.
