a/n: I was going to wait to post this until tomorrow, but I'm impatient and excitable. Soooo, my Valentine's Day picture! It isn't very shmoopy, which is odd, because I loooooove doing shmoop. But I realized that my favorite Helga/Arnold pictures are ones like these - pictures that are more fun/adventurous than romantic.

So Helga and Arnold out on an adventure, following smoke trails to the Green Eyes and making eyes at one another in between long bouts of bickering. Now THAT is love. *swoons*

Oh, I plan to do that - have a game all picked out to give my daughter as a little "you're my valentine" giftie. But I was thinking more of getting a nice, cream and sugared cup of tea tomorrow, maybe with some chips or something as a little treat to myself, and sitting down and writing some one-shot something or other. The fangirl in me needs her celebration of the day, too.

Me too! I mean, okay - I would have more fun up until the bad parts where me and my other half would almost die or get separated or WHATEVER (because this is an adventure after all and we need some DRAMA) and then I'd be all ;___; but then everything would turn out okay and there'd be smoochies.

Helga and Arnold both remind me of kids that would have come from a Jerry Spinelli novel. It's that they don't seem like kids who would have a roaring jungle adventure, yet they fit right in anyway! so naturally a steamy jungle romance fits too!

Ah, it has been a long time since I read a Jerry Spinelli book, but I think I agree. Or at least I totally understand what you mean. I mean, HA! is basically a show about growing up in the city and childhood AND YET the idea of taking all the HA! kids and dumping them in a jungle always seemed like a REALLY FITTING scenario.

I basically just use a really light gradient (there are circle ones in photoshop) and put it around the small star bits. Nothing super fancy.
