Date: 2009-09-27 09:00 pm (UTC)2) Uhh, Carly/Sam maybe? I mean, I think of them mostly as just BFFs, but I don't deny that you could certainly make a pretty convincing argument for them as romantic partners.
Also, because I'm me, I could probably get behind Freddie/Sam/Carly.
3) This is not a very shippy show for me. Sam/Freddie is cute! Other than that I mostly just want friendship stuff to happen. In fact, I could live without romance in iCarly at all so long as everyone stays BFFy forever!
Also, I think I have a small soft spot for Carly/Gibby, but I am a little bit terrified of Gibby after last night's episode. Like, maybe if the kid playing him wasn't SO YOUNG in comparison to the rest of the cast. Or maybe in the future when everyone's grown up and not awkward and too young anyway, I could like Carly/Gibby. She's very gentle when it comes to him.
4) Carly Shay/Megan Parker because... WHAT.
5) Spencer/the Kids. The age gap is really awkward and because he's sort of in a pseudo-parental role for Carly I just... I can't see him ever seeing Freddie or Sam or anyone she associates with as anything but kids.
Also, all Nevel pairings, because I really dislike him and don't think he deserves to be a reoccurring character. Also, the fact that he's still trying to get a kiss from Carly is really gross and I don't like that it's basically a sexual conquest for him now. Yes, Carly always wins, but he never apologizes or learns anything or STOPS. So. Yeah. Fuck Nevel.
Last, I just don't like Carly/Freddie because she's spent years turning him down and I think he should let it go. It would be good for both of them and they make ADORABLE platonic BFFs.

I love Tifa and Tifa/Cloud is okay, but I would like to see her end up with someone who isn't quite so messed up and who would appreciate all that she is and in my headcanon Barret is completely smitten with her.
3) Vincent/Yuffie. It's similar to Squall/Yuffie (WHICH I WILL LOVE FOREVER), but also different in subtle ways. And there is some insanely excellent Vincent/Yuffie fic.
Cid/Shera. Cloud/Tifa. They are both cute, but they don't make me flail around happily.
4) Tifa/Axel (from Kingdom Hearts). Other than that I really don't mind any FF VII pairings. Oh, I don't like Sephiroth pairings, but that's mostly because I find almost all villains horrifically dull.

3) Bill/Sookie because it is cute and he loves her so much. Hoyt/Jessica to a point. They had my heart for a tiny bit of time, but there is so much other relationship angst on the show, that I really don't have time to care about if they are together or not.
4) Sookie/Everyone. Which is actually more canon than it is crack, but WHATEVER. Jessica/Pam, because the lady who plays Pam thinks it'd be hot. Jason/Bill because THEY HAVE SUCH A TENDER, GROWING RELATIONSHIP.
5) Eric/Sookie. It is supposed to be the True Blood OTP of OTPs, but I could give a fuck. I think the guy who plays Eric is a pretty cool dude, but Eric himself bores me. I especially hope if they go the Eric/Sookie route they don't make attempts to humanize him like Sookie does in her sex dreams, because BOOOOORING.

Date: 2009-09-28 03:33 am (UTC)1) Black Star/Tsubaki. I love her devotion to him and how it seems like he doesn't appreciate her over that big ass ego of his, but the truth is that HE THINKS SHE IS THE COOLEST EVER.
2) Kid/Liz. I just like it! I dunno, they're partners and she'd actually be able to relate to him on something of an intellectual level. Also, I could have liked Patty/Kid/Liz if Patty wasn't so... childlike.
Also, I really like Euruka/Free. Especially in the anime when they unleash the Kishin thing. S'cute!
3) Maka/Soul. Well I had to mention it! They're cute and totally married, but neither of them are a favorite character of mine and so they don't really show up on my radar all that much.
4) Ummmm.... Black Star/Kid? I dunno. Soul Eater is not a very shippy fandom for me in general.
5) Any and all Stein pairings. Stein doesn't interest me that much, but that's not surprising really. I am almost always completely ambivalent to villains and kinda villains (the only real exception to this is Riku from Kingdom Hearts whom I ADORE FOREVER).
Maka/Chrona? Chrona's too mentally beat up for me to ship with anyone.

Black Star/Kid is hilarious slash. I'm not huge in slash in general for the fandom, but I'd read a fic of them for some lulz.
I don't know, I do like Stein but I ship him in everything that isn't set in the canon. Mostly because I can't stand Medusa (because I love Chrona like mad and fuck how great of a villain she is, she abused her own child and I can't stand her for that reason :\), and Marie with Stein doesn't seem right to me. And that ... doesn't leave too much open for Stein, unfortunately.

They have a buttload of adorable canon moments in the show (they go on the Tunnel of Love together! Twice!) and I imagine them growing up to be a dysfunctional, but loving couple. 3) Curly/Eugene, Gerald/Phoebe and Gerald/Helga! Curly/Eugene because it would be so amazingly DANGEROUS for them to be together (Crazy Dude/Jinx?) and because Eugene thinks he looks awesome in wedding gowns (He does! It's in Ghost Bride!). Gerald/Phoebe is excellent, because it's not Helga/Arnold. They're a lot more subtle and quiet and their relationship goes on behind the scenes most of the time, but I think that's why it will work. Also, I am of the opinion that Gerald <3's Ladies, but he <3's Phoebe bestest.
Gerald/Helga, because they would bicker awesomely and because he isn't Arnold and maybe that'd be good for her. Also, because Hot Air, by Pyrus Japonica (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/828017/1/) won me over years ago.
4) Wolfgang/Helga and Arnold/Timberly! I'm pretty cool with Helga going off and dating anyone she wants, but I kind of get fidgety when Arnold gets paired up with girls who aren't Helga. However, I kind of dig Arnold/Timberly. Because she doesn't NEED him and because it would break Gerald's brain.
I like Wolfgang/Helga because he would be totally aware of how awesome she is and it would drive Arnold CRAZY.
5) Curly/Rhonda. Hate it and hate that a lot of the fandom thinks Curly's behavior towards Rhonda in canon is perfectly okay.
Helga/Brainy and Phoebe/Arnold are also on my 'gross' list (although I am not completely adverse to Helga/Brainy happening at some point, but ehhhhhhhh).

Now you're making me all depressed because I want to watch Hey Arnold! again, like, NOW. Not the old S1 and S2 episodes that are on DVD, but the ones past that. The ones that never were aired in the US. The ones that Nick only aired the last 15 minutes of because U-Pick Live screwed it over so many times.
Honestly, it's been so long since I've really watched Hey Arnold! I don't know who I would ship. I remember the show being full of innuendos, but I know I would view the show very differently now.
I loved Arnold/Helga, and liked Gerald/Phoebe, but never thought of things like Phoebe/Arnold or Gerald/Helga. I DO remember liking Helga/Phoebe and Arnold/Gerald. ^.^
Rhonda/Harold is like Arnold/Helga, but with switched genders and that they are viewed mostly as unimportant side characters. I love that R/H fanart... I giggled at the one where they are both skinny as rails. Maybe that is them in their teenage years? I dated a boy in the 8th grade, and by 11th grade he dropped at least 50 pounds, if not more. (Actually, when I think about it, Harold and Rhonda look like my ex-boyfriend before he lost all the weight and his girlfriend now, haha!) The "Chocolate Cherries" fanart... SO FREAKING REALISTIC! Haha, what's with your obsession of H/R sex?
That's an adorable Helga/Arnold wedding picture... Look at Sid all dressed up! For the longest time Sid confused the hell out of me; I wasn't used to seeing characters that looked like him, and was convinced he was a girl because of the hair and boots.
I just can't even stand Patty. I used to like her, but she looks like my ex-girlfriend's fiancee who hates me and has threatened to kill me multiple times, so I'm kind of afraid of her as a fictional character. Haha, it's like Patty was MOLDED off of Meredith.
Curly/Rhonda is like Carly/Freddie. I'm not saying these two are alike in the least, but Freddie used to be obsessive over Carly like Curly was with Rhonda.
Gerald is definitely going to be a pimp like his older brother, but he has a soft spot for Phoebe. So adorable together!!
Eugene's wavy hair in that one fanart is DOWNRIGHT BEAUTIFUL.
I remember when I used to write Hey Arnold! fanfiction. I posted it on the Nick.com boards waaaaaay back before the change and they were just called the Blab boards or something. My Nick.com account actually still exists! It is easily 8-10 years old. It is FBhead2894. One of my first Neopets accounts was FBhead2894, but now I've switched over to neopian_traveler. It stood for "Football head 2894," Football head for Hey Arnold! and 2894 because it was just randomly my favorite number, but as years passed I realized that it might seem that I would actually like football... which I don't.
I don't think Arnold/Timberly is too much of a crack-pairing, especially in a couple years when they are both older :-)
Helga/Brainy is creepy, and Arnold/Phoebe (just like Arnold/Lila) would be boring.
I WANT TO WATCH THIS SERIES AGAIN, ALL OF IT, SO I CAN WRITE FANFICTION INSPIRED BY THESE BEAUTIFUL FANARTS.
I so wanna add Craig on Facebook. And you, too! How do I make those both so? Is there a good Hey Arnold! community out there? I lovelovelove having these long discussions about a show I haven't watched in years :-P

5) Awww, I love Patty very much and I love how much they put her in towards the end of the series. She's adorable as hell and I totes ship Rhonda/Patty. Not as much as Rhonda/Harold (obviously), but it's cute. :3
6) I also see parallels between Carly/Freddie and Curly/Rhonda and I hate Curly/Rhonda SO MUCH so it's not a good association for me.
7) I almost posted HA! fic at those boards and my very first fanfic was all script formatted and totally going to go up on the site, but I chickened out maybe? IDK.
8) Hey Arnold! is my favorite fandom of all time and I am REALLY tempted to ask Danwarp how much inspiration he pulls from that show for iCarly, because there are REALLY WEIRD SIMILARITIES between the two shows.

I remember my old HA! fanfics. They sucked, and were also in script form. It was JUST dialogue.
