Journal - "Stuff"

1) I kind of want to post this over at hey_arnold, but it's not my comm and I don't actually know anyone in charge so I'm not going to. But anyway, someone made a nick_girlslash community, which is pretty rad. I know that HA! actually has a decent femmeslash following - seriously, HA! fanfic is like almost all Helga/Arnold and what isn't is other pairings/femmeslash/bullshit. I also know that there's a fraction of people watching me who have written some HA! girlslash. So, yeah. I say join and post. There can never be too much F/F loving.

2) They're remaking Pokemon Gold and Silver. This is pretty sweet, just because I would like to own the games and a) not worry about the game file leaving forever (GOOOOOOLD!!! ;_;) and b) so I don't have to bother hanging onto my gameboy color if I wanna replay. Though I have sort of realized that I actually think Emerald was my favorite Pokemon game, though I couldn't really tell you why.

3) Only 3 (4 once Val picks what she'd like) sketches left for that meme! I'm so proud of myself, because I suck at doing things in a timely manner. I'm totally slacking today though, but WHATEVER because I am hanging out with my Favorite Whale soon.

4) Doing those sketches has made me realize some things:

a) I love Avatar, but I'm so done with it as a fandom
b) I should only draw characters I'm comfortable drawing in iScribble, otherwise they look like poop
c) I absolutely hate Rhonda/Curly. Haha, I feel bad, because I know there are people on my flist who actually enjoy it, but URGH NO. NO. I might even hate it more than Arnold/Phoebe and THAT'S A LOT OF HATE.

5) Oh man, going to see 17 Again tonight!

6) I should probably start drawing/writing for reals again soon. I've basically done nothing all week. Hahaha.

7) MY ROOM IS CLEAN! :D

Also POKEMON REALLY? I've always thought that they should. I didn't get to properly play the game because the cartridge died and ate my data. Maybe all Gold cartridges were just doomed from the start.

Yeah, my Gold died and it was THE SADDEST DAY OF MY LIFE. You can get the battery thingy replaced, but I am not hardcore enough to figure it out. My silver is still kicking as far as I know, but uhhh, it could be dead, because I refuse to play it in fear that it might die. SO I'M TRAPPED IN THIS HORRIBLE CIRCLE.

OH COOL, thanks for linking to the girlslash comm. *joins ASAP* You know, I don't know what is up with the mod at hey_arnold, she doesn't some to be involved in the comm at all. I've sent her a message before pertaining to the comm, even asking if she would mind adding HA links in the userinfo, and she never replied. So yeah, you could probably post anything there.

IT HURTS ME EVERY TIME YOU SAY THIS AND YET YOU KEEP SAYING IT, lol. I'm not offended though, I think everybody knows the Hey Arnold character I can't stand to pair with anybody, so I can't bash others' pairing dislikes.

It's mostly iCarly stuff right now, which is cool and all but it definitely needs a lot more lady-love from other shows. Haha, I actually meant that I wasn't a mod or involved with the girlslash community, so I didn't want to post it. I feel weird pimping out a comm that I don't actually have any attachment to? IDK.

Yeah, I get the same feeling from the mod. Luckily we haven't had anyone abuse the comm yet, because I get the feeling that it would all go unchecked.

Also, I kind of loved the whole idea behind hillwoodtimes and am sad that it sort of didn't pan out. Also also, I'm totally up for another fanmix or something. It's been almost a year since the last one.

OMG THEY'RE REMAKING GOLD/SILVER. Excuse me, I must DIE OF GLEE now. I've been hoping they'd do that since I heard of FireRed/LeafGreen. Because omg yay better graphics + one of my favorite versions = so much awesome.

I haven't played either of them in aaaaages, though, which makes me kind of sad. I miss playing Silver. It was the first Pokemon game I ever played, too.

Haha, I'm pretty pumped too. It'll be nice to own the games without having to worry about losing all that gameplay.

My first was Red, but it was my sister's so I had to give it back. Then I got Yellow and WHY DIDN'T THEY REMAKE YELLOW? Goddamn, having Pikachu follow you around was the best thing EVER.

And I'm sad you're done with Avatar. And I've forced you to draw for it MWAHAHA. But seriously, I've actually...never done anything for Avatar fandom. Like...zilch. Of course I haven't done anything for any fandom lately...but yeah. I'm just a pimple on fandom's ass and I'll never amount to anything! :P

I totally don't mind! Like I said, I looooove the show. I'm pretty sure that I'm totally out of inspiration for it though. S'weird how that happens. But it's good to kind of go back and try on the characters again.

I think I knew I'd heard something like it before, but I don't think I made the Futurama connection. I watch Futurama, but not religiously and I probably haven't seen every episode. I'll watch it if it's on though and I think it's hella funny.

XD Haha, it's no problem! I totally get that people DO like it and probably would love it if I liked it too, but it's just not my cuppa tea I guess. But yeah, don't sweat it. I didn't mind drawing it for you at all, I just realized as I was drawing it that it was sooooo not what I would have wanted to draw.
