There's this guy I know who reminds me of Ripp in a number of ways (he'd basically have the same personality spread, if he were a sim), and he has that same body type that we're imagining Ripp to have, as seen here:

It's well-built and substantial, but with a little padding. You can see the beginnings of a beer gut.

I imagine Ripp as being just a little flabby when he's a young adult, but he probably slides a little further as he gets older, unless he shapes up (and maybe he does, for the band - I can see Jaxy telling him to clean up his act for their image).

Also, LOL at the funneling of beer.

That drawing of Ripp consoling Ophelia really tugs at my heartstrings. Ripp appears to be naked too, which would suggest that they'll be taking their solace efforts to the next level. There's something really appealing to me about the idea of making love as a way to push your grief aside. You know it would be very slow and thoughtful.

Well, he's naked, mostly because I draw everyone naked and then add on the clothes and sometimes don't bother with clothes on scraps, because I'll just add 'em when I ink. Or maybe not. But I love the whole 'sex in the hopes of rising above grief'.

I love the Ripp face in that drawing. The craggy nose and the wide grin, and how he seems like he's up to no good - it's perfect.

Yeah, I thought about that after I said it, but I like the idea of it being comfort sex too. With Ripp, most things would involve sex. Once they've broken the ice, I'm sure Ripp and Ophelia will be pretty familiar with each other's bodies (though, maybe Ripp would never be quite as familiar as Johnny is to her... or maybe he would be, given enough time).

Hmmm, as for the Curious brothers body types.... I see Vid as very tall and thin, but without Johnny's muscle, he also hunches over a lot because he's intimidated by a lot of things so his back is sort of messed up. Pascal would be the shortest and would be fairly thin too, but with a bit more of a gut on him - not very noticeable, but he'd be softer than Vid. Lazlo is taller than Pascal, but not by a whole lot, but enough so that he's still allowed to brag about it. Lazlo all shoulders and a wide chest. He's got husky/solid, but were you to wrap your arms around him he'd still be fairly soft because he none of the Curious Brothers has the need to work out much. Also Lazlo is hairiest, then Vid and Pascal's more like Buck and his baby face.

OR AT LEAST THAT'S HOW I SEE IT. :)

Heh. I agree with you about the Curii almost totally, except for I see Pascal as being rather muscular... but in a muscular-without-trying sort of way. Like he has the potential to be completely buff, but sees no purpose in it. (I only say this because he starts off the game as being almost 100% fit, even though he's pregnant and has no body skill points.)

But yep, I see Vid as being tall and thin (and hunched too, either from bending over a computer or just being shy and intimidated, like you say) and Lazlo as being broad-shouldered but with a beer gut too. ;)

And I also see Laz as the hairiest (as you all well know, lol!) then Vid and Pas, just like you say. But somehow I doubt the Sims 3 will give us options for body hair and who knows when we'll get it. That's a bummer for me, lol.

Hmmm, a muscular Pascal? That one's a stretch for me. I'm usually pretty interested in factoring in things like the body type he starts with in the game, though, so that's interesting. Maybe he's just fit for his body type? I can't imagine him as being bulky or built like the Grunts are, or that you'd really see a whole lot of muscle definition there. I've always imgined him as a small man, and shorter than average.

I imagine Lazlo as being similar to Pascal, but maybe a little taller and broader, like you said. I agree with the beer gut.

Vidcund, I agree with you both, but he's not really skinny in my mind like Johnny is (I see that as an alien thing). He's tall, though, and sort of average sized. And yeah, I could see the bad posture too. You see that a lot on taller shy people. They're trying not to be so tall.

I also imagine both Pascal and Vidcund at some stage of balding, while Lazlo manages to avoid that particular gene, with his full head of luscious black hair (and they sort of hate him for it).

I agree on the hairiness level too. Though part of me gets a very nativey vibe from them too, which would suggest a lack of body hair. That would probably apply less to Vidcund, though. (Yeah, now I've thought about this way too much.)

I've always imagined the little "greenhouse" as Vidcund's domain, with his love of African violets and Pascal gained his creativity from writing. He starts the game with a want to publish a great novel (and it's something I've had locked in his want panel ever since - it will eventually get mentioned in the story).

In fact, him having that want was the reason I've been making him part Fortune sim (I know all the aspirations will roll it once they get Creativity and start writing, but to have it straightaway just made me get a very Fortune feel to Pascal. You assumed skill points have to come from career rewards? That's funny. I love how so many of the Strangtown households have career rewards in them, and not necessarily the ones that they'd get in their careers. They treat them as normal items.

With FT, sims who are into film and literature want to sell novels too. That's a nice feature. I often give my artist sims a popularity aspiration, though, or they end up as artists (like Jayne Doe) because of the want to sell masterpieces. It's easy to keep them in platinum that way.

With Pascal, I always assume he's going to publish some research on alien/sim breeding, so I'm going to have him do that eventually.

I can see him being a fortune sim, for sure, or family. Either would work.

1. You know, before Strangetown (and Ramen Fighter Miki, and Big Love, and Damages, and Sons of Anarchy...), I never really was open to OT3s. Up until recently, to me it's been two people = one pairing, and nothing more. But...I...think good writing and the media has made me look from a different perspective.

Johnny/Ophelia/Ripp has to be one of the cutest OT3 ever...and hopefully they'll last.

5 & 8. Oh, Ophelia. <3 So far I love 'er sooo much, and I'm glad that the majority feels the same way...usually the lead female in shows, books, and even in plays (heh, believe me, I've seen it) is prone to be bashed more than the male characters.

I shouldn't be surprised that LJ may be going under...I pretty much expected it. But I hope that the head honchos will forewarn us before they shut down for good...

Lol, if the main characters are a trio I tend to default to the OT3 option. Not ALWAYS, but it's usually the one that makes the most sense to me. They are absolutely adorable and totally belong together forever.

Phi was my favorite before Johnny took over. I love her quiet strength and how she keeps her boys in line and how they adore her so damn much. I know there are people who don't love her, but for the most part she's fairly well accepted. I hate female bashing and am glad that Phi isn't really getting hated on. She doesn't deserve it.

I'm hoping some of the frenzy dies soon. I'd really love to use LJbook, but it hasn't been working because of the panic. It'd be so much easier than grabbing entries by hand.
