Fandom/Universe: Strangetown, Here We Come
Character(s): Johnny, Ophelia, Ripp

a/n: Ah, two posts in one day. I'm just full of love today it seems.
Anyway, I finished up that last Johnny/Ripp picture and realized that I had meant to fix this doodle up, but never got around too it. And I really just felt like doing SOMETHING with the trio. So I took the original doodle from here: (It's the one on the bottom right!) and cleaned it all up.
I'm really proud of how much I CHANGED this. It's amazing how much my style grows and changes in just a couple months. I believe the original sketch was made back at the end of May the finished version done just today. Big changes, eh? I even included a little picture so you can see for yourself!

Date: 2008-09-25 09:40 pm (UTC)Ah, coloring in Photoshop is something that takes a lot of time to get used to. Doubly hard if you're using a mouse (or are using a tablet, but are unfamiliar with it). It gets easier as you go along. I was HORRENDOUS at coloring even just a few years back.
Allow me to show you:
There's like... hardly any shading and what there is is all airbrushed. Awkwardly. Oh and the drawing itself is awful, but that's not the point. Also, it's two boys, but I feel that it's really difficult to tell. I'm guessing this was sometime in 2005-ish? Maybe? So yeah, it all comes eventually (and I'm still lazy with coloring - i don't push my limits as much as I should).
Haha, I love Ripp's sleazy face too. I didn't originally mean to make his grin so big, but it just looked RIGHT. This was also the first time that I really made an attempt to make Ripp's hair look right. His new 'do is tough to draw! But I think I'm finally getting it or close to it.
