a/n: Also, I'm totally dancing around on the Beau/Franny side of things these days, but I wanted to see if this one technique worked on the sims pics and I had that cap available so that's why there's one random Tank/Frances icon. XD
ETA: Okay, this is going to probably sound really random to most of you, but do you guys know what Fausnaughts are? Without looking them up that is.
Because I TOTALLY just realized that it must be a PA Dutch thing. D: But still - HOW CAN YOU NOT KNOW WHAT FAUSNAUGHTS ARE?

Also, do you know what fausnaughts are? This question is very important to me!

Date: 2009-02-24 11:48 pm (UTC)You and your crazy WORDS. (Like I can talk.)
Nice icons too. All of your hand drawn ones are very pretty. I also like the high intensity Frances/Tank kiss. I was so pleased with that frame. Frances has just the perfect pained expression there.

Any weird traditions on your end?
Thank you! I love their faces in the Tank/Frances one - it really is an awesome shot. :3

Date: 2009-02-24 07:52 pm (UTC)I was like HORRIFIED to find that Fausnaughts are not a world-wide phenomena. Seriously, they are like A REALLY BIG DEAL back home.

Date: 2009-02-24 07:56 pm (UTC)(I've been dying for a slice of shoofly pie, myself. Thankfully, there's an "amish market" up here where I should be able to find some.)

Date: 2009-02-24 08:07 pm (UTC)Seriously, PA Dutch food is awesome. Also, there's this magical place in Lebanon that makes pretzels in a little brick oven and they're only open on magical days and you have to go really early to get them because they sell out super fast.
And Chicken Pot Pie in the PA Dutch way. Yum!
I've never actually had shoofly pie, I've heard of it of course, but have never tried it.

Date: 2009-02-24 08:21 pm (UTC)Aw, man, my friends looked at me funny when I suggested it. So glad to be vindicated.
There's... another way to do chicken pot pie? Really?

You have the pot pie with the noodles right? More of a stew?

Date: 2009-02-24 08:24 pm (UTC)Oooh, but egg noodles. I live on those things.

Date: 2009-02-25 06:19 pm (UTC)They're doughnuts! Super wonderful doughnuts that PA dutch folk make yearly because of some silly tradition of using up all the lard/butter, except they now make the fausnaughts with peanut oil according to my mom.
There's a wiki link above about them. Also, they are VRY SRS BSNS back home. Life or death, baby.
