Title: Deeds and Intentions
Fandom/Universe: Original Fiction
Rating: K+
Summary: Not everything is about love.
“Why...why would you kill him? Was it love?”
The woman blinked and then narrowed her eyes.
“Love? Why would it be about love?”
The detective was smirking at her as he held a cigar to his lips.
“You were married, right? And you suspected that he’d been cheating on you, right? So in a jealous fit of rage you shot him.”
She turned away disgusted by his naivete.
“I see you don’t particularly like my reasoning, but it seems like the only real motive you had.”
“Hmph.” She rested her head in her hand and stared at the detective. “Why does there have to be a reason? Maybe I just killed him because he was there. Maybe I just killed him because I could. Maybe I murdered my husband just because. There doesn’t have to be an intention behind every deed does there?”
a/n: Because I noticed that a lot of mystery stories have women who kill people because of love. And i just got to thinking.
