Journal - "Homestuck."

So apparently I am into Homestuck now. I just spent the better part of four days blasting through all 2000+ pages of it after all.

My mind is like mush now though. I don't really have any coherent thoughts on favorite characters or whatever. It's all just a jumble of feelings and sleepiness.

YOU SHOULD TALK TO ME ABOUT HOMESTUCK IF YOU LIKE IT THOUGH. I am completely caught up after all.

I know I should hate her because she's kind of been a monster and a half and she killed Tavros and he was my boy, but I JUST LOVE HER. She kind of is like what would happen if you took all the bad stuff out of someone and made a living creature out of them, but then somehow snuck in a conscience.

Her killing Tavros didn't make me want retaliation like I did when Eridan killed Feferi and Kanaya or when Gamzee killed Equius and (maybe) Nepeta. I'm glad she feels remorse, but I don't want to see her get her comeuppance in the form of also being murdered.

YEESSSS. That talk she had with John after she killed Tavros gave me the canon I needed to jump from liking to LOVING her. Plus, Tavros still being around in memory bubbles holding SICK FIRES is ridiculously adorable.

Oh, speaking of Eridan, HOLY SHIT KANAYA. I read those updates as they came out, and, um, my eyes just turned more and more into hearts. I was channeling Vriska.

Her relationship with John is one of my favorites in the entire series. That moment was so great. With her confiding in him and him trying to cross the cultural barriers to comfort her even though she was obviously kind of freaking him out.

Yeah, I'm not too worried about Troll deaths because... they don't seem permanent. And TBH the Tavros vs. Vriska thing was something we could all see coming from miles away. Eridan and Gamzee's betrayals seemed like bigger deals because they were so sudden and unexpected.

Lol. Kanaya is fan-fuckingtastic. I loved the zoom in on Vriska's little "...<3333"

Yeah, it was so sweet, and I just liked how, even though she killed someone, he wanted her to not go on a suicide mission because she was his friend. He was freaked out, but he'd miss her if she died.

Pretty much. And we'll definitely have more to see from Feferi because she's "the Witch of Life" who's going to unite the two races. <333

Hahaha, so rewarding. I'm going to also love wherever the updates are going to go with Aradia. SHE'S SO ADORABLE.

My brother introduced me to it awhile ago. He LOVES it. I'm reading through it very slowly, and I'm waaaay behind. So... I should probably leave now before I'm exposed to spoilers.

It's pretty good stuff. I kind of work where... it's either all or nothing? If I'm going to get into a series I can't slowly pick through it. I sit and I read/watch/etc. until it's done. All my spare time gets sucked into this one task of consuming.

I do it all the time. It's kind of a horrible habit TBH. The inability to take things in moderation.

Um. When you get into Troll romance/relationship stuff I suggest maybe stopping and reading about it at the homestuck wiki before you get info dumped during the comic. IDK. I felt like I understood the system better when I had some prep time to figure it out.

I think you'll probably remain unspoiled unless you specifically go poking around places that might have HS info. I don't really mind spoilers too much so I didn't really worry about it as I went along. Plus, there's been so much art all over my tumblr that I was technically spoiled for stuff like... months ago, but obviously didn't retain much of it.

Nah. I don't care as much about the spoilers as my brother seems to, but I still try to avoid them. But I'm much more worried about Deadly Premonition spoilers. Or even spoilers for the last Harry Potter book.
