Characters: Johnny, Tank, Ophelia, Buck, Ripp, Jill
Note: I'm using strange_tomato's older versions. Why? BECAUSE I LOVE THEM. Or because the story has me hooked on strangetown and because she's got a lot of easy to find references.









a/n: Just some really basic refs of the characters. I still feel like Tank's needs a lot of work. I like the rest, though Ripp's design is a little iffy along with bits of Ophelia that are kind of off, but Buck and Johnny and Jill seem pretty tight. Just for fun because i'm more of an artist than i am a photographer.

Oh and you should probably go read strange_tomato's story. It's freakin' awesome.

Very, very nice! I love seeing how you worked out the designs here. And how accurate they are, while still having your own spin on the characters and your own style. Very nice indeed.

I love Johnny and Jill too, especially their mischievously arched brows. Johnny is really great - I love how you drew his hair and his needle-nose. Too perfect.

Ripp and Tank both look so troubled! And handsome too. And Buck is so cute!

I'm so happy that you did this. Thank you. I love seeing these guys through a different lens. Now you're really inspiring me to get back to work on the story!

Like I sort of mentioned at the top, I was using a lot of your pics as references to how the characters should look. But I didn't really follow them to a T, because that would be very hard to draw in the way that I like too. Hence Jill's more cutesy cartoon nose.

Johnny's nose is so charming. I love how pointy and ridiculous it is.

The Grunts are always troubled it seems. Well, Ripp usually manages to cast the gloom aside by sleeping with a slew of women and Buck can usually pick himself up and dust himself off, but Tank....Tank is almost always troubled. But I love him (and them) for it.

Glad I could lend some inspiration. I tend to get the urge to draw them up after you post a new segment.

And no problem on recommending the story. It's top notch in my opinion. Plus, these guys have a lot of what you put into them in their designs. They're basically supposed to be the sims in your story.
