Last night I treated myself to a mini-marathon of the last 7 episodes from season one. You know, the ones where Jeff and Britta's relationship reaches a peak. There's also the Chicken Fingers episode, where we get to see one of the most meaningful talks between Jeff and Abed "I'll help you connect with people, and you help me do a better job with them" (or something like that).

So much as it has to do with a lack of Jeff/PEOPLE HE LOVES.
This is exactly what's been happening. The thing with community is that we got to know Jeff during last season. Most of the B plots were about the other characters interacting with each other, while Jeff had his own personal growth on the A plot. This season has been moe like... shifting the spotlight to the other characters and their interactions, leaving Jeff with nothing to do. Which AGAIN, is confusing, because he IS the MAIN CHARACTER.
Also, is it just me, or have most of the characters been kind of bitter lately?
* Britta - season premiere, pen episode (she was really angry)
* Shirley - Charlie Kauffman episode
* Abed - he wasn't angry, but he was an asshole during the Charlie Kauffman episode
* Annie - pen episode
* Jeff - religion episode
* All of them towards Annie during the Space episode
I don't really know how to express it, but their characters DO seem to be a bit more stressed than last season...

Them trying to churn out too many "BIG" plots in the beginning.
I get Dan Harmon's fear of being canceled and not having done everything he wanted to, but... BIG episodes are only cool when they're done once in a while :\ You try eating Belgian chocolate every day of the year, and, while it won't stop being delicious, it won't be as special :\
It's like the SPRINKLES effect Modern Warfare had you mentioned.

I'M ONLY READING THIS FOR H/A YOU BETTER NOT HOOK HER UP WITH WOLFGANG."
... I wanted them to DO IT.

I feel like there was a time when they J/A was all about being excited for the little things and now it seems like they're getting... pushy.
I miss those days, when one glance would be heart-warming... I don't want them to be in a relationship, or have sex D: Glances are cute and adorable...

If people wanna think Jeff/Britta are secretly hooking up? You don't have to agree with them, but it's also kind of rude to expect them to defend themselves.
I... here's the thing... I don't mind it if Jeff/Britta shippers think they are hooking up, and are happy about it (however, I still don't SEE the hints to that... it would be pretty fun tho... I've been on a Jeff/Britta mood for the past couple of days).
I'm PISSED at Jeff/Annie shippers who think Jeff and Britta are secretly hooking up, and are ANGRY about that. HOW DARE YOU BE ANGRY AT SOMETHING THAT MIGHT NOT EVEN BE HAPPENING.

BASICALLY: I like Jeff/Annie! But pretty much exclusively in canon only! The fandom makes me uncomfortable!
SO MUCH THIS. I've read a couple of fics. They both annoyed me with Jeff's "secret love"
UGH.

I'm really sorry about this hugeass comment... it's just nice being able to talk about this...
